Lead
Leadership serves as the foundation for sorority and fraternity life at Ohio State; it is what we challenge our members to do each and every day.
Leadership At-A-Glance
- Leadership defined: the art of challenging your peers to never settle for the status quo; even if it means going against the grain.
- Leadership’s place in sororities/fraternities: in an organization where the chapter’s core purpose is all about holding fellow members accountable to higher values and higher standards, challenging one another to never settle for the status quo provides for an incredible opportunity to practice values-based leadership.
- Leadership opportunities: serving as a chapter president or other executive office position, attending conferences and retreats focused around enhancing one’s leadership potential (see below), practicing the implementation of new initiatives/ideas within one’s own chapter.
- Leadership development training opportunities: enrollment in for-credit leadership theory courses just for sorority/fraternity members, attendance at week long leadership institutes, participation at weekend retreats and workshops and conferences, opportunity to be paired with alumni mentor, participation in leadership focused book groups.
